The Federico Zeri Foundation aims to keep its book collection alive and to increase it according to the scholar’s main interests. Moreover great attention is paid to the library’s core subjects that make the Foundation the most preeminent study centre both in Emilia Romagna and in Italy: as, for instance, within the “Italian Painting” section, the publications on birth trays and marriage chests, intarsias, fakes or volumes referred to minor Italian areas; within “Iconography” section the books dedicated to the still life, portrait, landscape, battle and marine paintings; catalogues of Italian and foreign museums and volumes on the history of collecting.

Are usually bought volumes recently published and those issued before 1998 in order to enrich the original collection.

The Federico Zeri Foundation is interested in providing a comprehensive book collection as updated as possible, hence scholars are strongly encouraged to recommend a book for purchase sending an email to the following address:
